Octomore 13.1 continues Bruichladdich’s tradition of pushing the boundaries of super-heavily peated Islay single malts. Distilled in 2016 from 100% Scottish Concerto barley peated to an extraordinary 137.3 ppm, it was matured for five years in first-fill American whiskey casks before being bottled at cask strength.

This edition showcases the pure, unadulterated character of Octomore, where powerful smoke is masterfully balanced with bright fruit, creamy vanilla, and coastal minerality. As the cornerstone of the 13th series, it highlights both the raw intensity of peat and the elegance achievable through careful cask selection.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Smouldering peat embers layered with vanilla, lemon zest, and a gentle maritime breeze.
