The 2011 Château Duhart-Milon offers a refined expression of Pauillac in a vintage that balanced early warmth with later freshness. The growing season demanded meticulous work in the vineyard, resulting in a wine with both finesse and character. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is well judged, producing an elegant, medium-bodied Grand Cru Classé.

On the nose, expect aromas of blackberry, black cherry, wild hedgerow and cedar, with subtle hints of spice and floral lift. The palate is medium-bodied: fresh acidity cuts through, delivering dark fruit backed by firm tannins, minerality and a slightly savory note. The finish is fairly long, complex, showcasing fruit, cedar, and a touch of earthy oak. This is a wine already showing charm but one that benefits from decanting or further cellar ageing.
