Mas Doix Salanques 2022 is a structured and expressive Priorat red from one of the region’s most respected boutique estates, Mas Doix. Sourced from 25–50 year old vines grown on steep “licorella” slate soils in Poboleda, this wine captures the essence of classic Priorat—power, minerality, and precision.

The 2022 vintage reflects a warm and dry growing season, producing wines with concentration and intensity while retaining freshness and balance. A blend dominated by Garnacha and Cariñena, with a touch of Syrah, it is aged for around 12–14 months in French oak barrels, giving structure and subtle spice without overpowering the fruit.

Critically, the 2022 Salanques is widely recognised for its depth, acidity, and mineral-driven profile, making it one of Mas Doix’s most compelling “mid-tier” wines for both early enjoyment and short to mid-term ageing.

Aromatic and layered with black cherry, blackberry, ripe plum, and red berries, complemented by violet florals, Mediterranean herbs, cocoa, licorice, and crushed slate minerality

Palate:
Full-bodied yet precise. Concentrated dark fruit core balanced by vibrant acidity and fine, structured tannins. Notes of spice, graphite, and earthy slate add depth and complexity

Finish:
Long, fresh, and mineral-driven with lingering dark fruit, herbal spice, and subtle oak integration
