Brora Triptych Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1972, 1977 and 1982) (3 x 500ml)
Brora Triptych is a historic and rare collection of single malt Scotch whiskies from the legendary Brora Distillery, released in 2021 to mark the momentous reopening of the distillery. This exceptional set contains three extraordinary expressions, each representing a different era of Brora’s storied history:
1982 – The Timeless Original (38 Years Old): A delicate, low-peat whisky showcasing Brora’s signature waxy character. Aromas of sherbet lemons and fresh green grass are complemented by oak spice, beeswax, citronella candles, and subtle notes of gunpowder on the palate.
1977 – The Age of Peat: Reflecting a period of increased peat use, this elegant whisky features creamy vanilla, beeswax, and crunchy green apples on the nose, with smouldering peat smoke, ginger cake, oak spice, and heathery smoke on the palate.
1972 – The Elusive Legacy (48 Years Old): A rare and elusive style of Brora whisky, earthy and peaty, with aromas of oaky spice and peach cobbler. The palate reveals rich malt, serrano ham, tobacco, coal dust, and earthy smoke.
Brora Triptych delivers a masterclass in the evolution of Brora’s whisky, making it a collector’s dream and a connoisseur’s delight. Each bottle exemplifies the craftsmanship, depth, and character that have made Brora a legend in Scotch whisky history.
