Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced “OO‑gah‑dahl”) is a celebrated Islay single malt whisky named after the distillery’s water source, Loch Uigeadail. This bold expression masterfully marries Ardbeg’s trademark deep, smoky peat character with the rich sweetness and complexity from a blend of ex‑bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Tasting Notes
Colour: Deepest gold
Nose: Rich and weighty with heady smoky aromatics, layers of warm Christmas cake, walnut oil, chocolate‑coated raisins, ocean spice, cedar, and smouldering coal fire.
Palate: Full‑flavoured and rich; sweet layers of honey‑glazed smoked foods and chewy treacle balance deep smoky tones with spicy winter notes, creating a powerful and indulgent mouthfeel.
Finish: Amazingly long and chewy with lingering raisiny, mocha tones and rich aromatic smoke.
