DOM PÉRIGNON X TAKASHI MURAKAMI:  A JOYFUL COLLABORATION

Dom Pérignon has invited Takashi Murakami to design two limited editions imagined for the 2025 year-end season: one for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and one for the launch of Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010.
This artistic encounter perpetuates the Maison’s creative dialogue with visionary artists and reaffirms its commitment to artistic exploration, hybridity, and unclassifiable paths.

When placed together, three boxes align to form Murakami’s full design pattern—making this edition a true collector’s treasure and a striking centerpiece for displayDom Pérignon continues its legacy of artistic collaboration with the release of the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 Limited Edition Murakami, launching globally on October 1, 2025. Created with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, this special edition marries the maison’s pursuit of winemaking excellence with Murakami’s signature vibrant, anime-inspired artistry.

Nature as eternal creation
For both Dom Pérignon and Takashi Murakami, nature is a vital principle. The 2025 limited editions bring their visions together: in Dom Pérignon’s creative philosophy, nature is the starting point and the medium: grapes, terroir, climate, human precision, everything is orchestrated to translate raw matter into emotion. In Murakami’s approach, nature does not take the shape of realistic flora or fauna. Instead, it manifests as a hyper-synthetic, emotionally charged world made of flowers with oversized cartoon faces, creatures that seem to emerge from dreams, myths, or anime.

Beyond its visual artistry, the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 offers exceptional complexity and refinement. Initially somber with roasted notes and cacao powder, the nose unfolds into a floral bouquet of linden, jasmine, and peony, lifted by subtle spice from anise and cardamom. The palate is broad and layered, revealing delicate yet generous textures, where ripe peach and nectarine flesh intertwine with citrus zest and sculpted bitter notes of gentian.

This collector’s release is both a celebration of Dom Pérignon’s winemaking mastery and a striking symbol of contemporary art, destined to be treasured by Champagne lovers and art enthusiasts alike.

Vintage 2015: An Unwavering Presence
Born from an exceptionally contrasted year, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 reveals an unwavering presence. Somewhat dark at first, it proves tactile throughout the tasting, with a unique sense of touch. This tactile sensation is the foundation of Dom Pérignon’s taste, allowing it to fully express its plenitude. The dense matter of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 anchors its natural authority. And over time, this authority progressively becomes horizontal, broad and rectilinear.

This is a Dom Pérignon Vintage that brings us emotions in turn stimulating, then soothing. Stimulating thanks to a subtle bitterness, a way of touching, of commanding attention.

"Through my collaboration with Dom Pérignon, I wanted to express a form of time travel. My goal is to remain relevant in 100 or 200 years and to transcend time. When the label has aged, and I am gone, and my children are gone, I hope that people of the future, when they see it, will reimagine 2025 in their own minds."

-Takashi Murakami
