The Louis Roederer Brut Vintage Champagne 2016 is a distinguished vintage Champagne showcasing the powerful yet refined character of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, complemented by Chardonnay. The 2016 vintage experienced a cool and wet spring followed by a warm, dry summer and favourable conditions during harvest, producing wines with ripe fruit, freshness, and excellent balance.
The wine is sourced primarily from Louis Roederer's La Montagne estate, with grapes from Verzy and Chouilly. The blend is 68% Pinot Noir and 32% Chardonnay, with 33% of the wines matured in oak and only 5% undergoing malolactic fermentation. This approach preserves the wine's freshness and tension while adding richness and texture.
