The Louis Roederer Collection 245 Brut MV Jeroboam 3L is an impressive large-format Champagne presented in an elegant wooden gift box, making it an exceptional choice for celebrations, corporate gifting, and collectors.
Collection is Louis Roederer's multi-vintage Champagne series, created to replace the former Brut Premier. Rather than attempting to reproduce exactly the same blend every year, each Collection release is designed to express the character of its particular harvest while maintaining the distinctive Louis Roederer house style. The blend combines wines from the estate's La Rivière, La Montagne and La Côte estates with reserve wines and a perpetual reserve dating back to 2012.
Collection 245 is based on the 2020 harvest, complemented by reserve wines. The blend comprises 41% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 24% Meunier, with 35% perpetual reserve and 10% reserve wines aged in oak. It was dosed at 7g/L.
The 3L Jeroboam format adds considerable visual impact and is particularly suited to large celebrations. This specific format is supplied in a wooden presentation case, further elevating its gifting and collector appeal.
Tasting Notes
Colour:
Lovely golden yellow with a fine, lively stream of persistent bubbles.
Nose:
Expressive aromas of ripe nectarine, yellow fruits, lemon, sugared almond, wheat, petals, pollen, and subtle smoky notes.
Palate:
Rich, velvety, and concentrated with ripe citrus and yellow fruit flavours. The mousse is fine and energetic, complemented by a distinctive saline character, chalky freshness, almond, wheat, and subtle smoky oak nuances.
Finish:
Long, precise, and refreshing with lingering citrus, chalky minerality, ripe fruit, saline notes, and delicate smoky complexity.
