Nikka Yoichi 10 Years Old is a highly regarded Japanese single malt whisky from the historic Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, founded by whisky pioneer Masataka Taketsuru. This expression became one of the flagship age-statement whiskies in Nikka’s lineup before being discontinued due to the global shortage of aged Japanese whisky stocks.
Produced using traditional coal-fired pot stills, a rare technique even in Scotland, Yoichi whiskies are known for their robust character and subtle coastal smokiness.
The 10-year maturation allows the whisky to develop deeper complexity, balancing rich fruit notes with light peat smoke and oak influence. Highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, the discontinued Yoichi 10 Years remains a prized bottle representing the golden era of Japanese whisky production.
