A friend and collaborator of Quaich Bar, this series was inspired by his unrelenting spirit and talent for discovering, selecting, and identifying whisky’s hidden potential. We are delighted to pass these onto you, to share with your friends and loved ones.

Frankly Speaking…

Auchentoshan is a Lowland single malt and the distillery is situated on the edge of Glasgow. The process involves spirit produced by triple distillation and as a result is quite light. This particular whisky stood out for me because of the sweet and fruity flavours on the nose and palate with a unique woody note at the end, that is interesting and uncharacteristic of their standard official bottlings.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet oak, fudge cake and vanilla.

Taste: Treacle, toffee apples, vanilla and floral with a touch of oak.

Finish: Long and sweet with some barley sweetness and chocolate.
