The Frank McHardy Series is exclusively selected by Frank himself for Quaich Bar Signature Reserve Collection and bottled at cask strength. A friend and collaborator of Quaich Bar, this series was inspired by his unrelenting spirit and talent for discovering, selecting, and identifying whisky’s hidden potential. Frankly Speaking…

While working on Islay in the 1970’s I quite often visited the distillery to see one of my friends, Bob Gordon, who was the distillery manager for some of those years. Once mainly used for blending whisky, Bunnahabhain has now come into its own with various single malt bottlings. I’ve always considered Bunnahabhain to be a whisky that I would be happy to drink at any time of the day. Personally, I think this is one of the best Islay malts and when bottle from a single cask at cask strength, it exudes loads of sweet and malty flavours.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sticky toffee pudding, vanilla ice cream and malty.

Taste: Subtle hazelnuts, malty with juicy fruits.

Finish: Sweet fruits and nutty flavours linger on the palate.
