The Frank McHardy Series is exclusively selected by Frank himself for Quaich Bar Signature Reserve Collection and bottled at cask strength. A friend and collaborator of Quaich Bar, this series was inspired by his unrelenting spirit and talent for discovering, selecting, and identifying whisky’s hidden potential. We are delighted to pass these onto you, to share with your friends and loved ones.

Frankly Speaking…

The Allt-A-Bhainne was one of the first distilleries built in 1975 intended to be operated by computer to run on a lesser manpower intensive operation regime. I can remember it being constructed and thinking that the building seemed a bit out of place in the area where it is situated. However, it now looks rather good with its pagoda shaped kiln tops although they have never served any function. A lovely any-time-of-the-day whisky; delicate, fruity and malty.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruit and sweet with hints of vanilla and sweet spice.

Taste: Sweet, Seville oranges, light oak, vanilla and ripe bananas.

Finish: Sweet oak, vanilla, citrus, cinnamon spice.
