The Hakushu Distillery by Suntory crafts whiskies that embody freshness and nature. First established in 1973, with a second site added in 1981 (Hakushu Higashi), the distillery is renowned for its lightly peated, forest-inspired single malts. The Hakushu 12 Year Old is a classic expression, offering a refined balance of herbaceous character, gentle smoke, and forest-like freshness.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Toasted barley and nut loaf, with chopped almonds, barrel char, and subtle sweetness from milk chocolate and dried grass.

Palate: Rich and grassy with herbaceous notes, complemented by fruitiness and a delicate waft of smoke.

Finish: Clean and crisp, with orange peel and a touch of minerality.
