Octomore Edition 10.4 63.5% 700ml
The Octomore Edition 10.4 is a bold experiment in peat and oak from Bruichladdich Distillery, showcasing the world’s most heavily peated single malt in a unique form. Distilled from Islay-grown Concerto barley, this limited release is matured for just 3 years in virgin Limousin oak casks — an unconventional choice that delivers remarkable depth and character despite its youth.
With a phenol content of 88 PPM, it balances raw smoky intensity with surprising elegance. The virgin oak imparts warming spices, vanilla sweetness, and toasted wood, which harmonize with citrus brightness and maritime smoke, creating a whisky that feels far older than its age.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Robust peat smoke layered with vanilla pod, nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon zest, and earthy malt.
Palate: Powerful smoke intertwined with sweet vanilla, clove, and oak spice, unfolding into honey, citrus, and roasted coffee.
Finish: Long, commanding, and smoky, with dark chocolate and lingering spice.
