Akkeshi Single Malt Whisky Rikka 700ml

Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky Rikka is the 19th release in Akkeshi Distillery’s 24 Solar Terms Series, inspired by Rikka, the traditional Japanese seasonal marker representing the beginning of summer.

Produced in Akkeshi, Hokkaido, the expression showcases the distillery’s distinctive northern Japanese character, combining its characteristic gentle peat influence with bright Japanese citrus and layered sweetness.

For this release, the key malt is an all-Hokkaido malt, made using Hokkaido-grown malted barley and whisky matured in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. The combination creates a distinctive profile that brings together ripe stone fruit, citrus, chocolate, subtle sweetness and a gentle peppery finish.

Bottled at a robust 55% ABV, Rikka delivers a concentrated and expressive character suited to enthusiasts seeking distinctive Japanese single malt whisky.

Ripe peach, apricot and mandarin orange, accompanied by the sweet aroma of kinako mochi drizzled with brown sugar syrup.

Black pepper and Japanese hyuganatsu citrus develop alongside a subtle seaside freshness and gentle coastal character.
