Prakaan Double Cask Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Prakaan Double Cask is a premium Thai Single Malt Whisky from Prakaan, Thailand's first single malt whisky. Part of the Tribura Series, the expression combines whisky matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks with whisky aged in Spanish oak ex-Sherry casks, creating a rich and layered interpretation of Prakaan's distinctive house style.

The combination of Bourbon and Sherry cask maturation brings together tropical fruit and vanilla with richer dried-fruit, chocolate and spice characteristics. The result is a full-bodied yet approachable single malt with a harmonious balance between sweetness, fruitiness, oak and warming spice.

Bottled at 43% ABV in a 700ml bottle, Prakaan Double Cask offers an expressive introduction to Thai single malt whisky and is well suited to both neat sipping and premium whisky occasions.

Tasting Notes

Colour:

Burnished amber with rich golden-brown reflections.

Nose:

Fragrant and creamy with tropical fruit, vanilla and honey, followed by raisins, dried fruit, gingerbread, dark chocolate and subtle citrus peel.

Palate:

Rich and rounded with caramel, toffee, tropical fruit and dried raisins, complemented by dark chocolate, honey and warming aromatic spices. Gentle oak adds depth and structure.

Finish:

Long and warming with lingering cinnamon, clove, vanilla, citrus peel, dried fruit and subtle oak spice.
