The Godzilla Umiki Blended Whisky is a distinctive limited-edition Japanese whisky created by Yoshino Spirits in collaboration with Toho Co., Ltd., celebrating the 70th anniversary of Godzilla, the legendary Japanese film icon first introduced in 1954. The release combines Umiki's distinctive ocean-inspired whisky concept with one of Japan's most recognizable cultural characters.

Umiki is known for its unconventional approach to whisky, incorporating desalinated Pacific Ocean water and maturation in Japanese pine barrels. The result is intended to evoke the character of the sea through a fresh, smooth and subtly maritime profile.

Created as a collector's edition, the Godzilla bottling features specially designed packaging celebrating the milestone anniversary. Fresh and maritime, with a gentle sea-breeze salinity accompanied by fresh botanical notes. Layers of ripe tropical fruit and honey emerge alongside subtle pine and woody aromas from the Japanese pine barrel maturation.

Palate / Taste

Smooth and full-bodied, combining gentle oceanic salinity with grain sweetness. Tropical fruit and honey are balanced by subtle spice and a light smoky character, while pine wood contributes additional depth and structure.

Finish

Long and clean, leaving lingering impressions of sea salt, gentle wood and pine with a refreshing maritime character.
