The Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2019 is a prestigious vintage Champagne crafted exclusively from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Louis Roederer's La Côte estate, particularly the Grand Cru terroir of Avize in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The chalk-rich soils give the wine its signature mineral freshness, precision, and saline character.
The 2019 vintage was marked by intense sunshine and periods of extreme heat, resulting in wines with impressive maturity, concentration, and freshness. Louis Roederer's Cellar Master describes the vintage as exceptional, with a finesse reminiscent of great white Burgundy.
Part of the wine was matured in oak, contributing additional texture and depth while maintaining the purity of the Chardonnay. The wine was dosed at 7g/L, balancing the ripe fruit and mineral structure of the vintage.
