The Amelia Park Trellis Cabernet Merlot 2022 is an approachable and fruit-driven red blend from Amelia Park Wines, a well-regarded producer in Margaret River, Western Australia. The Trellis range is designed to showcase the region's distinctive fruit character in an accessible, easy-drinking style.

The grapes are predominantly sourced from the Wilyabrup sub-region, known for producing rich and concentrated fruit, with a smaller proportion from Wallcliffe contributing elegant aromatics and fine tannins.

The blend brings together Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, combining Cabernet's structure and dark-fruit character with Merlot's softer, rounder texture. The wine is fermented under controlled conditions before being matured in French oak barrels, adding subtle toast and spice while retaining its vibrant fruit profile.

The 2022 vintage offers a rich bouquet of dark berries and mocha, followed by a soft, generous palate showing red currant and plum flavours. Subtle dusty tannins provide structure without making the wine overly heavy, making this an excellent choice for drinking now.

Deep ruby red with youthful purple reflections.

Nose:
Fragrant aromas of ripe dark berries, red currants and cassis, layered with mocha, plum, subtle thyme and gentle toasted oak spice.

Palate:
Medium-bodied and approachable with generous flavours of red currant, ripe plum and dark berries. Soft, juicy fruit is complemented by subtle dusty tannins and delicate mocha and oak nuances.

Finish:
Smooth and lingering with ripe berry fruit, plum, gentle mocha and soft tannins.
