The Antinori Cervaro della Sala Umbria IGT 2022 750ml is one of Italy's most renowned premium white wines, produced by Marchesi Antinori at the historic Castello della Sala estate in Umbria.
First produced in 1985, Cervaro della Sala has become a benchmark for age-worthy Italian white wine. The wine takes its name from the Monaldeschi della Cervara family, who owned the estate in the 14th century.
The 2022 vintage combines the richness of Chardonnay with the freshness and aromatic character of Grechetto. The wine is fermented and matured using a combination of stainless steel and oak, with a portion of the Chardonnay undergoing barrel fermentation and ageing. This creates a distinctive balance between ripe fruit, creamy texture, subtle oak and vibrant mineral freshness.
The wine displays expressive aromas of citrus, white flowers, tropical fruit and ripe stone fruit, complemented by elegant notes of vanilla, butter, hazelnut and subtle toast. On the palate, it is structured and persistent, with refreshing acidity providing balance to its rich and creamy texture.

Nose:
Complex and expressive with aromas of citrus, white flowers, ripe pear, peach and tropical fruit, layered with notes of vanilla, butter, hazelnut, toasted almond and delicate mineral nuances.
Palate:
Rich and structured with flavours of ripe citrus, white peach, pear and tropical fruit. A creamy, elegant texture is balanced by vibrant acidity and fine mineral tension, with subtle oak, vanilla, toasted almond and spice adding complexity.
Finish:
Long, persistent and refined with lingering citrus, ripe stone fruit, creamy oak, hazelnut and mineral freshness.
