Aramasa Colours Ash 新政 水墨 720ml
Aramasa Colours Ash (新政 水墨) is one of the most sought-after expressions from the iconic Aramasa “Colors” series, crafted by the cult-favourite Aramasa Shuzo brewery in Akita, Japan. Also known as “Ash” or “Sumi” (meaning ink wash painting), this premium sake is brewed using the historic Kame-no-O rice variety — a legendary heirloom rice deeply connected to the origins of modern sake rice cultivation.
Produced using the traditional Kimoto brewing method and fermented in cedar wooden vats (Kioke), Aramasa Ash showcases remarkable balance between vibrant acidity, refined sweetness, savoury umami, and mineral precision. The brewery exclusively uses Kyokai No. 6 yeast, discovered by Aramasa itself, which contributes to the sake’s signature elegance and freshness.
Known for its rarity and limited allocations, Aramasa Ash has become highly collectible among sake enthusiasts worldwide. The sake delivers a modern, wine-like drinking experience while retaining deep traditional craftsmanship and terroir expression.
