Artuke Pies Negros 2023 is a highly regarded village-level Rioja crafted by the acclaimed Artuke estate, one of the leading names in Rioja’s new generation of terroir-focused winemakers. Produced from carefully selected vineyards around Ábalos in Rioja Alavesa, this wine combines traditional Rioja heritage with a modern emphasis on purity, freshness, and vineyard expression. The name “Pies Negros” (“Black Feet”) pays homage to the historic practice of foot-treading grapes, a tradition that Artuke continues as part of its artisanal winemaking philosophy.

Made primarily from Tempranillo with a small proportion of Graciano, the 2023 vintage delivers remarkable depth, freshness, and structure. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured mainly in large-format oak barrels with a portion aged in concrete, Pies Negros balances vibrant fruit, refined tannins, and mineral complexity.
