Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 is a refined and traditionally styled Tuscan red from one of Chianti Classico’s most historic estates. Founded as a Benedictine abbey over a thousand years ago, Badia a Coltibuono has become synonymous with elegant, terroir-driven Sangiovese and organic viticulture in the heart of Tuscany.

The 2020 vintage delivered balanced conditions that allowed for excellent phenolic ripeness while preserving freshness and aromatic complexity. Produced primarily from organically farmed Sangiovese grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards around Gaiole in Chianti, this Riserva offers greater depth, structure, and ageing potential compared to the estate’s classic Chianti Classico bottling.

Traditional fermentation is followed by extended ageing in large oak casks and additional bottle refinement, allowing the wine to develop complexity while maintaining purity of fruit and vibrant Tuscan character. The result is an elegant yet structured Chianti Classico Riserva that reflects both heritage and finesse.
