Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Riserva “Cultus Boni” 2019 is the flagship Riserva expression from one of Tuscany’s most historic and respected estates. Produced only in exceptional vintages, “Cultus Boni” represents the purest interpretation of organically farmed Sangiovese from the high-altitude vineyards surrounding the medieval abbey of Badia a Coltibuono in Gaiole in Chianti.

The 2019 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest recent vintages in Tuscany, combining concentration, freshness, and exceptional ageing potential. Warm days and cool nights throughout the growing season allowed the grapes to develop aromatic complexity and refined tannin structure while maintaining vibrant acidity. The result is a Chianti Classico Riserva of remarkable balance and elegance.

Crafted primarily from Sangiovese with small proportions of traditional Tuscan grape varieties, the wine undergoes traditional fermentation followed by extended ageing in large oak casks and bottle refinement. The style remains faithful to classic Chianti Classico traditions—focused on finesse, terroir expression, and food compatibility rather than heavy oak influence.
