Badia a Coltibuono Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2015 is a rare and traditionally crafted Tuscan dessert wine from one of Italy’s most historic wine estates. Produced in small quantities by the renowned Badia a Coltibuono estate in Gaiole in Chianti, this Vin Santo reflects centuries of Tuscan winemaking heritage and hospitality traditions.
Made from equal parts Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, the fruit is carefully hand-harvested and air-dried in well-ventilated rooms to naturally concentrate sugars and aromatics before fermentation. The wine is then aged for approximately seven years in small oak barrels, developing extraordinary depth, oxidative complexity, and richness while retaining remarkable freshness.
The 2015 vintage has received exceptional critical acclaim, including 95 points from Robert Parker and 96 points from Wine Spectator, praised for its intensity, balance, and long ageing potential.
This is a classic Vin Santo with luxurious texture, layered dried fruit character, and vibrant acidity — a benchmark Tuscan dessert wine designed for slow enjoyment and contemplation.
