Created by Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie, this expression celebrates the influence of first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels, showcasing a sweeter, fruit-forward interpretation of The Balvenie's signature honeyed house style. Inspired by the distillery's close relationship with American oak coopers and bourbon cask maturation, it highlights how carefully selected casks can enhance the natural character of Balvenie's spirit while preserving its exceptional balance and elegance.

Matured exclusively in first-fill American oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 43% ABV, the whisky delivers generous notes of creamy vanilla, honey, candied fruit, toasted coconut, and sweet oak. The first-fill casks impart greater intensity of flavour than refill casks, resulting in a whisky with remarkable richness, vibrant orchard fruit, and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Produced using The Balvenie's traditional craftsmanship—including home-grown barley, a working floor maltings, in-house coopers, and resident coppersmiths—it offers a modern expression that remains unmistakably Balvenie.
