BenMarco Expresivo 2020 is a sophisticated Argentine red blend from Gualtallary in the Valle de Uco, one of Mendoza's highest and most distinctive wine-growing areas.

The wine combines the rich fruit character of Malbec with the freshness and structure of Cabernet Franc. Gualtallary's calcareous alluvial soils and high-altitude, cool climate contribute to its distinctive mineral character, natural acidity and firm tannins.

Following BenMarco's minimal-intervention philosophy, the grapes are carefully selected and fermented with indigenous yeasts before spending 14 months in French oak. The result is a concentrated yet fresh wine with dark fruit, floral, herbal, mineral and spicy complexity.

Colour

Deep, intense and brilliant purple-red.

Nose

Expressive aromas of blackberries, ripe black and red fruit, violets and pepper tree, complemented by sweet spices, vanilla, liquorice, tobacco and subtle smoky-mineral nuances.

Palate

Full and concentrated yet balanced by fresh natural acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. Flavours of blackberry, plum and dark fruit combine with floral, mineral, cocoa, spice and subtle savoury notes.

Finish

Long, persistent and polished, with lingering blackberry, plum, violet, fresh herbs, chalky minerality and gentle spice.
