Braida Bricco della Bigotta Barbera d’Asti 2016 is a premium single-vineyard Barbera from Piedmont, Italy, produced from 100% Barbera grapes grown in Braida’s vineyards in Rocchetta Tanaro. The wine showcases the richness, structure and aromatic complexity that Barbera can achieve through careful vineyard selection and extended maturation.
The 2016 vintage combines a fresh mineral character with a warm, fleshy expression. Fine spice, concentrated fruit and a distinctive syrupy character create a rich and powerful profile, supported by lively acidity and integrated tannins. The wine is matured for 15 months in barriques and then aged for an additional year in bottle, allowing its fruit, spice and oak characteristics to develop greater complexity.

Deep ruby red with garnet and violet reflections.

Nose:
Rich, intense and persistent, with ripe plum, violet, licorice and vanilla aromas complemented by fine spice and subtle roasted nuances.

Full-bodied and concentrated with ripe plum and dark fruit flavours, supported by balanced acidity and firm yet integrated tannins. Notes of licorice, vanilla, roasted coffee, pepper and fine spice add complexity and depth.

Long, persistent and spicy, with lingering ripe plum, licorice, vanilla and subtle roasted notes.
