Bruno Lorenzon Mercurey 1er Cru "Clos des Champs Martin - Cuvée Carline" 2022 is a refined and concentrated Burgundy red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir. The Cuvée Carline comes from the Clos des Champs Martin Premier Cru climat in Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise, and is one of Domaine Lorenzon's "Haute Couture" wines. The estate farms its vineyards organically, with the Carline parcel covering approximately 0.6 hectare.
The 2022 vintage is produced from hand-harvested grapes, with 75% whole clusters used during vinification. The wine is aged in oak before further maturation in stainless steel, developing depth and texture while retaining the freshness and character of Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby red with brilliant garnet reflections.

Nose:
Expressive and layered with dark berries, raspberry, cherry, orange zest, exotic spices, violets and subtle cocoa and liquorice notes.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied, deep and velvety with concentrated dark and red fruit flavours. Vibrant acidity and sweet, refined tannins provide structure, while spice, cocoa and mineral nuances add complexity.

Finish:
Long, perfumed and persistent with lingering dark fruit, floral, spice and subtle mineral notes.
