Bruno Lorenzon Mercurey 1er Cru "Clos des Champs Martin - Cuvee Carline" 2023 is a refined Burgundy red wine crafted from Pinot Noir in the prestigious Mercurey 1er Cru appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise. Produced from a small parcel within Clos des Champs Martin, the wine combines ripe fruit, elegant structure, mineral freshness and a velvety texture.

The cuvée is produced from carefully hand-harvested grapes, with approximately 75% whole-bunch fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for approximately 12–15 months in barrels, allowing its fruit, tannins and mineral character to develop greater depth and harmony.

The 2023 vintage offers a concentrated yet elegant expression of Pinot Noir, with layers of red and black fruit complemented by floral, spicy and earthy nuances. Fine tannins and lively acidity provide structure and freshness, while the long finish highlights the wine's depth and mineral character.

Nose:

Expressive and aromatic with ripe cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by delicate floral notes and hints of black pepper, clove, liquorice and subtle earthy nuances.

Palate:

Full, silky and generous with concentrated red and black fruit flavours. Ripe cherry, plum and black cherry are complemented by fine tannins, gentle spice and dark chocolate nuances. Lively mineral acidity adds freshness and balance, creating a refined and velvety mouthfeel.

Finish:

Long and persistent with lingering dark fruit, sweet spice, fine leather, liquorice and subtle graphite notes.
