Can Sumoi Muntanya 2024 750ml

Can Sumoi Muntanya 2024 is a refined Spanish sparkling wine from Can Sumoi, the high-altitude estate of Pepe Raventós and Francesc Escala in the Montmell Mountains of the Penedès. It is the estate's first traditional-method sparkling wine, crafted from an equal blend of Macabeu and Xarel·lo grown at elevations between approximately 400 and 700 metres.
The grapes are organically farmed and harvested by hand before low-pressure pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. A second fermentation takes place in bottle, followed by approximately 12 months of ageing on the lees, creating a fine, lively mousse and added textural complexity.
Muntanya 2024 combines bright white fruit, citrus and floral aromas with subtle Mediterranean herbal character. Its fresh acidity, delicate bubbles and lightly saline finish give it a precise and refreshing profile that works particularly well as an aperitif or alongside seafood and light Mediterranean cuisine.

Pale golden yellow with bright, clear reflections and a fine, persistent mousse.

Nose:
Fresh and expressive with ripe white fruit, pear, citrus, delicate floral notes and subtle Mediterranean herbs, including a hint of rosemary.

Palate:
Dry, fresh and elegant with pear, citrus and white fruit flavours. Fine, lively bubbles provide texture, while vibrant acidity and subtle chalky minerality add precision and balance.

Finish:
Clean, refreshing and lightly saline, with lingering citrus, white fruit and Mediterranean herbal notes.
