Can Sumoi Sumoll Garnatxa 2020 750ml

Can Sumoi Sumoll-Garnatxa 2020 is a fresh and expressive red wine from Can Sumoi, the high-altitude estate of Pepe Raventós and Francesc Escala in the Montmell Mountains of Penedès. The wine combines equal parts Sumoll and Garnatxa, bringing together Sumoll's vibrant acidity and wild character with Garnatxa's generous red-fruit expression and softer texture.
The grapes are grown biodynamically at approximately 600 metres above sea level and are vinified with minimal intervention. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation without cultured yeasts and is aged for approximately 12 months, primarily in inert tanks, followed by time in bottle.
The 2020 vintage is light, juicy and elegant, showing wild berries, cherries, plum and Mediterranean herbs alongside subtle spice. Its lively acidity, soft tannins and moderate alcohol make it particularly versatile and enjoyable with a slight chill.

Nose:
Aromatic and expressive with wild red berries, blackberry, cherry, plum, violet, Mediterranean herbs and subtle spicy nuances.

Palate:
Dry, light-bodied and juicy with flavours of wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry and dark berries. Fresh acidity provides energy, while soft, delicate tannins give structure without overpowering the fruit.

Finish:
Fresh, smooth and lingering with red berries, cherry, subtle spice and savoury Mediterranean herbal notes.
