Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda 2022 is a premium single-estate red wine from the Douro Superior, produced from grapes grown at Quinta da Leda, one of Casa Ferreirinha's most important vineyards.

The 2022 vintage was produced under challenging hot and dry conditions, requiring careful vineyard management and meticulous selection of grapes. Despite the demanding growing season, the resulting wine displays impressive freshness, concentration, complexity and elegance.

The wine combines ripe red and black fruit with floral, peppery, balsamic and cedar notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, with vibrant acidity and ripe, velvety tannins providing balance and structure.

French oak ageing adds subtle spice and cedar complexity while remaining well integrated with the fruit. The long, elegant finish gives the wine excellent persistence and suggests strong ageing potential.

Deep ruby red with attractive violet reflections.

Nose:

Intense and highly complex with ripe red and black fruits, particularly blackberry and plum. Floral notes of violet and rose combine with black pepper, cedar, ginger and subtle balsamic and resinous nuances.

Palate:

Full-bodied, concentrated and elegant with generous dark fruit flavours. Ripe, velvety tannins provide structure while refreshing acidity maintains balance and freshness. Pepper, spice, cedar and subtle floral nuances add complexity.

Finish:

Long, persistent and refined, with lingering black fruit, spice, cedar and mineral notes supported by fresh acidity and polished tannins.
