Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino “Giovanni Neri” 2020 is one of the estate’s most prestigious single-vineyard expressions, named in honor of the winery’s founder. It represents a more profound, structured, and site-driven interpretation of Brunello, sourced from a carefully selected parcel of old vines in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area of Montalcino.

The 2020 vintage is highly regarded for its balance and precision, delivering wines with both generous fruit and refined structure. In “Giovanni Neri,” this translates into a deeply layered Brunello that combines aromatic lift with impressive concentration and vertical energy. The wine is also known for its distinctive use of a small percentage of whole-cluster fermentation (around 10–15%), which adds aromatic complexity, spice, and freshness to the final blend.

Vinification follows Casanova di Neri’s meticulous approach: long maceration, fermentation in wood vats, and extended ageing in tonneaux for around 30 months, followed by additional bottle refinement before release. The result is a powerful yet highly refined Brunello with exceptional depth, tension, and ageing potential.
