Catena Zapata "Nicolás Catena Zapata" 2018 is an iconic Argentine red wine crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza. The wine recreates the historic Bordeaux-style blend in which Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon played an important role, using pre-phylloxera massale selections from ungrafted vines. The 2018 vintage brings together fruit from the Adrianna and Nicasia crus in the Uco Valley, combining concentrated fruit, freshness, mineral character and refined tannins. The wine undergoes careful fermentation and is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, developing depth, complexity and structure while preserving the freshness of its high-altitude origins.
