Cayuse "Armada" 2018 is a distinctive single-vineyard Syrah from Cayuse Vineyards, produced from the Armada Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. The vineyard is located on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley, with silty loam and basalt cobblestone soils characteristic of the area's unique terroir. The warm 2018 vintage delivers concentrated dark fruit alongside earthy, savory, floral and mineral characteristics, supported by vibrant acidity and structured tannins.

Colour:
Medium ruby to deep plum with translucent violet reflections.

Nose:
Complex and expressive with blackcurrant, blackberry, violets, bacon fat, charcoal, earthy forest-floor aromas and exotic spices.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with rich blackberry and blackcurrant flavours, smoked meat, white and black pepper, mineral tones and savory herbs. Mouth-coating tannins and bright acidity provide structure and balance.

Finish:
Long and persistent with lingering dark fruit, smoky meat, pepper, earthy and mineral notes.
