Cayuse Impulsivo 2018 750ml

Cayuse "Impulsivo" 2018 is a distinctive single-vineyard Tempranillo from the En Chamberlin Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. Known for its concentrated dark-fruit character and savory complexity, the 2018 vintage combines cassis, black raspberry, blackberry and dark plum with dried flowers, cedar, tobacco, black tea and earthy mineral notes. Aged for approximately 19 months in French oak, including around 50% new oak, the wine develops depth and structure while maintaining a seamless, elegant texture.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby with a dark magenta rim.

Nose:
Complex and expressive with cassis, black raspberry, blackberry, dark plum, dried flowers, tobacco, black tea, leather, cedar and subtle smoky and earthy notes.

Palate:
Full-bodied and concentrated with dark fruit, spiced cherry, blackberry and plum flavours complemented by cedar, cigar box, pipe tobacco and dried earth. Fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity provide structure and elegance.

Finish:
Long and persistent with lingering cinnamon-spiced plum, blackberry, tobacco, cedar and subtle smoky notes.
