Château Canon Chaigneau Cuve 8A 2023 is a fresh and expressive Lalande-de-Pomerol red wine made from predominantly Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Pressac. Sourced from specific parcels of slightly younger vines on the Néac plateau, the wine offers a pure expression of the estate's terroir.
Unlike the estate's grand vin, Cuve 8A is vinified and matured exclusively in concrete vats for 12 months, without oak. This approach preserves the wine's fresh fruit character, mineral expression and elegant structure while making it approachable at a younger age.

Deep ruby red with vibrant purple reflections.

Nose:
Fresh and expressive with red and dark berries, black cherry, plum and subtle floral aromas, complemented by hints of wild herbs, black pepper and graphite.

Palate:
Medium-bodied, fresh and precise with juicy red and dark fruit flavours. Fine, velvety tannins provide structure, while lively acidity brings freshness, salinity and balance. Subtle mineral and savoury notes add complexity.

Finish:
Clean, fresh and persistent with lingering dark berries, plum, mineral notes and gentle spice.
