The Château Cantemerle Haut-Médoc Grand Cru Classé 2019 is an exceptional Cinquième Grand Cru Classé (Fifth Growth) from the prestigious 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Located in the commune of Macau in the southern Haut-Médoc, neighbouring the renowned Margaux appellation, Château Cantemerle has built an enduring reputation for crafting elegant, Cabernet Sauvignon-driven wines that consistently offer outstanding quality and value among Bordeaux's classified growths. The estate spans 96 hectares of silica and gravel soils, planted with vines averaging 38 years of age, creating wines of remarkable balance, finesse, and longevity.

The 2019 vintage is regarded as one of Bordeaux's finest recent vintages, delivering outstanding ripeness while preserving freshness and precision. The blend comprises 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. Following hand harvesting with selective vineyard sorting, the grapes underwent traditional vinification before ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels, including 40% new oak. The result is a beautifully structured wine with concentrated dark fruit, silky tannins, refined spice, and exceptional harmony. Château Cantemerle describes the 2019 as a wine of "freshness, elegance, persistence, and perfectly controlled power."
