Chateau Corbin Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe 2022 750ml

Château Corbin 2022 is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé from a 13-hectare estate located on the northwestern edge of Saint-Émilion, bordering the Pomerol appellation. The vineyard is planted on clay and clay-sand soils over an iron-rich clay subsoil, a terroir particularly suited to Merlot. Château Corbin has held Grand Cru Classé status since 1955.

The 2022 vintage is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Grapes were hand-harvested and carefully sorted before plot-by-plot vinification in small concrete vats. The wine was aged in French oak alongside concrete and glass wine vessels, allowing the ripe fruit and floral character to remain at the forefront.

The result is a refined and expressive Saint-Émilion, combining concentrated dark and red fruit with floral notes, fine tannins and a fresh, polished structure. Critics have particularly highlighted its elegance, velvety texture, precision and persistence.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby-red with rich purple hues.

Nose: Expressive aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry and dark berries, layered with violet, liquorice, bay leaf and subtle smoky notes.

Palate: Medium- to full-bodied, with concentrated fruit, silky tannins and a polished, velvety texture. Fresh acidity provides balance and definition.

Finish: Long and persistent, with ripe berry fruit, floral nuances, fine spice and a fresh mineral character.
