Chateau D Aiguilhe Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 2017 750ml

Château d'Aiguilhe Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux 2017 is an expressive Right Bank Bordeaux red produced by the von Neipperg estate in the Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The wine is predominantly Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, delivering generous dark fruit, freshness and refined tannins.
The 2017 vintage was produced from a very small harvest following frost, with yields of only 10 hl/ha. It was fermented in wooden and concrete vats and matured for 15 months in oak barrels, including 30% new oak.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby to garnet-purple with youthful intensity.

Nose:
Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, blueberry and raspberry, with violet, spring flowers, spice, tobacco and subtle smoky nuances.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied, with generous dark fruit, lively acidity and fine, silky tannins. Mineral and earthy nuances provide additional depth and balance.

Finish:
Long and refreshing, with lingering blackberry, cassis, floral and mineral notes.
