Château Gruaud Larose 2020 is a distinguished Saint-Julien red wine and Second Grand Cru Classé of the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The vintage combines a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend with ripe fruit, refined structure, vibrant freshness, and firm yet polished tannins. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, including 95% new oak, it offers depth and complexity while maintaining the elegant character associated with Saint-Julien.

Colour:

Deep ruby-garnet with rich, dark reflections.

Nose:

Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry, violet, tobacco, liquorice, spice, and subtle cedar and oak.

Palate:

Medium to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins, and layered savoury and spicy nuances. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and depth while the Merlot adds roundness and fruit richness.

Finish:

Long, persistent, and structured, with dark berries, spice, tobacco, mineral notes, and lingering fine tannins.
