The Château La Fleur de Boüard Lalande-de-Pomerol 2014 is the flagship wine of Château La Fleur de Boüard, a benchmark estate in Lalande-de-Pomerol founded by Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of the renowned Château Angélus. Since acquiring the estate in 1998, Hubert de Boüard has transformed La Fleur de Boüard into one of the leading producers in the appellation through meticulous vineyard management, gravity-fed winemaking, and precision vinification. The estate's vineyards are planted on a mosaic of clay, gravel, and sandy soils overlooking the finest terroirs of neighbouring Pomerol, producing wines celebrated for their richness, elegance, and exceptional value.

The 2014 vintage is a beautifully balanced Bordeaux blend dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. Following gravity-fed vinification in the estate's innovative truncated cone-shaped vats, the wine was matured for 15–18 months in French oak barrels, with a high proportion of new oak, creating a wine of remarkable concentration and silky texture. The bouquet reveals expressive aromas of blackberry, wild strawberry, cherry, vanilla, mocha, and sweet spices, while the palate offers supple tannins, vibrant freshness, and outstanding harmony. Now entering an excellent drinking window, the 2014 continues to evolve gracefully while retaining the structure for further ageing.

Colour:
Deep ruby with dark crimson reflections.

Nose:
Complex aromas of blackberry, black cherry, wild strawberry, cassis, cedar, vanilla, mocha, sweet spices, and delicate floral notes.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with layers of ripe black fruits, plum, dark cherry, cocoa, cedar, liquorice, and subtle oak spice. The palate is silky and velvety with polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and impressive depth.

Finish:
Long, elegant, and persistent with lingering dark berries, mocha, cedar, spice, and refined mineral nuances.
