The Château Lascombes Margaux 2009 750ml is a prestigious Bordeaux red wine from the Margaux appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Château Lascombes is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) under the 1855 Classification of Bordeaux.
The 2009 vintage is widely regarded as one of the great Bordeaux vintages, characterised by a long, warm growing season that produced ripe, concentrated and richly textured wines. At Château Lascombes, these conditions resulted in a powerful yet polished expression of the estate's terroir.
The wine is based primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot contributing additional colour, structure and aromatic complexity. The blend combines the Cabernet Sauvignon's cassis and structure with Merlot's generous plum and blackberry fruit.
On the palate, Château Lascombes 2009 delivers ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, supported by refined tannins and integrated oak. With more than a decade of bottle maturation, the wine has developed additional layers of cedar, tobacco, leather, spice and earthy complexity while retaining the concentration and structure of the exceptional vintage.
