The Château Lascombes Margaux 2011 750ml is a distinguished Bordeaux red wine from the prestigious Margaux appellation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Château Lascombes is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) under the historic 1855 Classification of Bordeaux.

The 2011 vintage followed the exceptional 2009 and 2010 vintages, but its growing season was characterised by a much earlier and more variable pattern. An early spring and warm start to the season were followed by cooler and wetter conditions, before a drier late season helped the grapes achieve good maturity. The resulting wines tend to emphasise freshness, elegance and aromatic complexity rather than the concentration of the preceding great vintages.

Château Lascombes' blend is based primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot contributing additional structure and aromatic depth. The wine combines Cabernet's cassis and refined structure with Merlot's supple dark-fruit character.

With bottle maturation, the 2011 Lascombes develops layers of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum and dark cherry, accompanied by cedar, tobacco, violet, spice and subtle earthy notes. Its polished tannins and refreshing acidity make it an elegant expression of mature Margaux.
