The Château Lascombes Margaux 2013 750ml is a distinguished Bordeaux red wine from the prestigious Margaux appellation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Château Lascombes is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) under the historic 1855 Classification of Bordeaux.

The 2013 vintage was a challenging year in Bordeaux, marked by a cool and wet spring followed by a warmer summer and a difficult harvest period. Careful vineyard selection was therefore particularly important, with the best parcels producing wines that emphasise freshness, aromatic character and elegance rather than the concentration of stronger Bordeaux vintages.

Château Lascombes' blend is based primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot contributing additional colour and structure. Cabernet Sauvignon provides cassis and freshness, while Merlot contributes softer red and dark-fruit flavours.

The 2013 Lascombes displays a more restrained and classic profile, with aromas of blackcurrant, red berries, plum and violet, complemented by cedar, tobacco, subtle vanilla and earthy notes. Its moderate body, fresh acidity and refined tannins make it an approachable expression of mature Margaux.
