Château Moulin de Duhart Pauillac 2021 is the elegant second wine of the prestigious Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) Château Duhart-Milon, owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Produced from carefully selected younger vines planted on Pauillac's renowned deep gravel soils, Moulin de Duhart reflects the estate's classic Left Bank style while offering a more approachable and fruit-forward expression of one of Bordeaux's most celebrated appellations. The wine is crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail that has made Château Duhart-Milon one of Pauillac's benchmark estates.

The 2021 vintage is composed of approximately 55–60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40–45% Merlot, before maturing for 10 months in French oak barrels. The cooler growing season produced a wine of exceptional freshness, aromatic purity, and refined structure. Layers of cassis, blackberry, redcurrant, cedar, graphite, and subtle tobacco are supported by silky tannins and lively acidity, resulting in a beautifully balanced Pauillac that is enjoyable in its youth while rewarding medium-term cellaring.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

Nose:
Elegant aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, red cherry, cedar, graphite, cigar box, fresh herbs, subtle vanilla, and toasted oak.
