The Château Pichon Comtesse Réserve Pauillac 2023 750ml is the second wine of Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande, the renowned Pauillac estate classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) under the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification.
Produced from carefully selected fruit from the estate's vineyards, Réserve de Pichon Comtesse offers an approachable expression of the château's distinctive Pauillac character, combining Cabernet Sauvignon's structure and freshness with generous dark-fruit flavours and refined tannins.
The 2023 Bordeaux vintage benefited from a more balanced growing season than the extremely hot 2022 vintage. Warm and dry periods were moderated by rainfall at key stages, while a favourable late summer helped Cabernet Sauvignon achieve good ripeness while retaining freshness and aromatic definition.
The wine displays aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry and plum, with classic Pauillac notes of violet, graphite and cedar complemented by subtle tobacco and spice. On the palate, it offers a polished combination of ripe fruit, vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins.

Deep ruby red with vivid purple reflections.
Nose:
Fresh and expressive with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum, complemented by violet, graphite, cedar, tobacco and subtle spice.
Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with flavours of cassis, blackberry, dark cherry and plum. Fresh acidity provides definition, while fine-grained tannins offer structure and balance. Subtle cedar, graphite and spice contribute additional complexity.
Finish:
Long, fresh and persistent with lingering cassis, dark berries, graphite, cedar and finely polished tannins.
