The Château Siran Margaux 2022 is a beautifully crafted Bordeaux from one of the oldest family-owned estates in the prestigious Margaux appellation. Owned by the Miailhe family since 1859, Château Siran has built a reputation for producing wines that combine the elegance and perfume of Margaux with impressive depth and ageing potential. Situated on exceptional gravel and clay-gravel soils, the estate benefits from an ideal terroir for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.

The 2022 vintage is regarded as one of the finest Bordeaux vintages of the century, thanks to a warm, dry growing season balanced by cool nights that preserved freshness and aromatic purity. Château Siran 2022 is a blend of 53% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. Matured for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels, with around 35% new oak, the wine displays remarkable concentration, silky tannins, and outstanding balance. Rich dark fruits, floral aromas, graphite, and refined oak combine to create a classic Margaux with both immediate appeal and excellent cellaring potential.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby-purple with brilliant violet reflections.

Nose:
Intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, violet, iris, cedar, graphite, liquorice, dark chocolate, and subtle baking spices, with elegant floral notes characteristic of Margaux.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with layers of cassis, ripe blackberry, plum, black cherry, cocoa, cedar, graphite, and sweet spice. Plush yet refined tannins are beautifully integrated with vibrant acidity, delivering superb balance, freshness, and precision.

Finish:
Long, elegant, and persistent with lingering dark fruits, floral notes, cedar, mineral nuances, and delicate oak spice.
