Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2017 is a distinguished Pessac-Léognan red wine and Grand Cru Classé de Graves. The Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend combines ripe red and black fruit with floral, spicy, smoky, and mineral nuances. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new, the wine develops additional depth and complexity while maintaining freshness and a refined tannic structure.

Colour:

Deep red to almost black with dark garnet-purple reflections.

Nose:

Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, cherry, cassis, dried herbs, fennel, violet, spice, and subtle smoky and flinty notes.

Palate:

Medium to full-bodied with concentrated red and black fruit, smooth yet substantial tannins, vibrant freshness, and a precise, polished texture. Notes of liquorice, cinnamon, smoke, and graphite add complexity.

Finish:

Very long and complex, with lingering fresh red fruit, liquorice, cinnamon, smoke, flint, and mineral nuances.
